Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools 介绍和下载

微软总是把一些实用的小工具放在什么resource kit里面，但是对于大多数使用者来说，就需要自力更生了。

    这里介绍一下empty.exe这个小程序，Windows平台下的应用程序的体积越来越大，占用的内存资源也不断增加。很多程序占用大量内存资源后却不能及时释放，造成极大的浪费。虽然使用第三方内存管理软件可以释放空闲内存资源，但很有可能引起系统的不稳定。Windows Server 2003资源工具箱自带的“empty.exe”命令就可以有效地解决这个问题。使用Empty.exe命令不会强迫系统全部释放内存资源，而是仅仅释放必要的资源。

    需要说明的是这个程序只适合于运行在Windows server 2003环境中。因此利用这个官方提供的程序来清理服务器的内存是非常合适的。


Empty.exe命令使用格式：

empty.exe{pid(进程ID)|task-name(映像名称)}

     由于该工具是在命令提示符下应用的，所以我们可以写一个批处理命令，然后在任务计划当中设定在规定时间自动执行这个批处理命令（比如每晚12：00），这样就达到了定期清理内存的效果，非常方便。
